Abstract Photography
Abstract images are things that are found or perceived out of reality. The goal of abstract photography is for the viewer to question the image and be tricked by what the actual subject of the photo is. The emphasis on form, color, and curves allows the photo to encourage strong reactions from the human perceptual system. Because the photo is often times not something commonly seen, we develop a certain liking for it. This is not just a psychological matter. It is actually hard wired into the human neurological and mental systems. When the human nervous system responds very strongly to certain colors and color contrast certain parts of the brain are programmed to respond to curves and shapes. Therefore, some basic elements of abstract, when done correctly, it can have a certain emotional appeal to the viewer, and can create a certain dimension for others to view. I will be taking pictures of anything.
